Introducing @beyondbelieving
@beyondbelieving is a former child, philosophy student, and experimental deep thinker, and still dabbles with being all three… Based in England, having lived in various odd corners of it, and heading resolutely towards his mid twenties with every sign of enjoyment and shock. Raised as a Christian, thoughtfully yet unsuccessfully, and now rather serious about working out what went wrong. He knows next to nothing about blogging but makes up for it by being an expert in blagging.
He spent his childhood in Staffordshire in England, and has attended university in Lancaster and Warwick. He studied philosophy – with a particular bent towards continental philosophy, Nietzsche, history of morality, 20th century agency theory, and in particular issues around childhood, education, sexuality, and agency. He spent some of his time travelling seeing some wonderful corners of Europe and misses the spas in Budapest very much. He usually works as an administrator but is taking medication to overcome this. In his spare time, he enjoys wasting time; with all sorts of music – particularly progressive rock, symphonic metal and anything complex – reading fantastical novels, laughing like a madmen at dry comedies, and spending too much time in front of screens pursuing endless curiosities. He also thinks he has the best friends in the entire world and believes there is nothing better in the world than cozy nights in Shropshire, rambling conversations in German bars, and ‘I’m Sorry I Haven’t a Clue’.
He also very much enjoys writing in the third person, and begs your indulgence.
Addition:
The Second Innocence is @beyondbelieving ‘s invention and is an incredibly self indulgent project, based as it is on the last five years of work. It’s definately not @porridgebrain ‘s fault…
