About Us
This blog is written by two people who by a massive and staggering coincidence, both have English accents, both used to attend Sunday school as children, and both have the firm belief that Postman Pat isn’t what it used to be. Even more staggeringly, they used to share a last name, and lived in the same house for eighteen years.
We come at this from quite different angles. One of us is female, the other less so. One of us is older than the other one. One of us has a delightful and beautiful – although naughty – young son, while the other only has a delightful and beautiful – although naughty – young nephew. And probably more importantly we do actually differ in what we think quite a bit.
One of us – the more female, mothery one – retains a strong sense of the spiritual and has spent many years exploring pagan and drudic beliefs as a much more acceptable alternative to Christian faith. The other is a staunch atheist with a background in Western philosophy. Consequently, our blog posts will undoubtedly come from slightly different perspectives and take different assumptions – the common thread, of course, being that Christianity simply isn’t good enough for us.
It is probably best if we introduce ourselves:

Perhaps even more amazingly the two authors (of whom their parents must be incredibly proud in every way), were obviously brought up to think for themselves. There can be no greater human attribute. Hats off to their parents I say.
Here here!!!
